It was a fine sunny morning on 30th October 2014 when I was boarding an Emirates flight at Dubai International Airport. I took off at 08:25 from Dubai for Zurich Airport, Switzerland. It was a pleasant journey. Zurich airport is famous for its huge size and splendor. There at Zurich, Maurice Lacroix management had already planned my stay at Dolder Grand hotel, so after reaching hotel, I went straight to my room and had a delicious and healthy lunch at the Garden Restaurant afterwards. Then after having a little rest, I went to relax at the Dolder Grand Spa.
The Dolder Grand Spa has been aesthetically and intellectually designed over an area of around 4000 square meters, in order to provide the ultimate amusing environment to its visitors. The Grand Spa is provided with a number of facilities for entertainment of its visitors. I was really feeling privileged being here witnessing the great influence of Europe and Japan. A beautifully decorated swimming pool was really a blessing over there. The Large Spa also included the Sunaburo, Japanese style, spa for male and female and reasonably large workout area. Then I had an interview with Stephane Waser, the managing director of Maurice Lacroix watches whom I found a humble, intelligent and smart individual. This sitting was held at the Dolder’s library and was very purposeful in accordance with the company’s objectives.
The next day was Friday and I was taken to Saignelégier. The top executive of Maurice Lacroix Company presented the company profile and details. This meeting was followed by a lavish lunch and soon after the lunch, manufacture visit was planned. Witnessing the manufacturing process of small watch parts and associated tools is really a precious experience. After the official requirement was over, we enjoyed a traditional Swiss dining and fondue at Chäsalp restaurant in Zurich, which still remains unforgettable.
The very next day, that was Saturday, 1st November, 2014 I had to fly to Barcelona in the noon. It was also an enthusiastic and altruistic flight of around two hours. The Barcelona-El Prat was also a heart touching Spanish airport, from where I went to the Princesa Sofia hotel, a marvelous place to live in. In the evening I had a great opportunity to witness FCB vs. Celta Vigo game at CampNou followed by a dinner arranged by our worthy hosts. Next morning I walked down to CampNou and had a grand guided tour of the city.
Here, in fact, as I was invited by Maurice Lacroix to cover the big news of collaboration taking place between Maurice Lacroix and FC Barcelona. So, the main objective of this trip remains to highlight and celebrate the three years official partnership of FC Barcelona with Maurice Lacroix and showcasing of their new Dynamic Swiss watches. This innovative partnership represents a milestone in the history of Maurice Lacroix and its aim is to reach the watch aficionados and football fans simultaneously for their Swiss luxury watches.
It was a short yet comprehensive tour to both Zurich and Barcelona but it has been a pleasurable and worth remembering opportunity which will remain embossed on my mind for long.
